NASA's September 2 update describes a major integration step for Dragonfly: engineers installed its electrical harness on the flight fuselage in July. Roughly 17,315 feet of conductor wire and 374 connectors link the rotorcraft's computers, sensors, actuators, instruments and battery.
The wiring must fit around insulation that helps retain heat in Titan's extremely cold environment. The team will keep connecting instruments and other components as they arrive for integration and testing.
The International Astronomical Union has also named the targeted dune field Ahmakiq Undae, south of Selk Crater. NASA currently schedules launch for summer 2028 and arrival in late 2034; those remain future mission milestones.
